A youth was allegedly stabbed to death and his brother was critically injured in an attack that took place at Borakoir area under Kulla union in Dhaka's Dhamrai, on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Ratul, 35, son of Hazi Abdur Rashid, hailed from Borakoir area under Kulla Union Parishad in Dhamrai. On the other hand, the injured was identified as Arnob, 26. He was the younger brother of deceased Ratul.
Abdus Salam, SI of Dhamrai police station confirmed the matter. The officer claimed the murder took place at Kulla union was caused by previous enmity.
Ratul's family members alleged, he used to operate broadband internet business at Bank Colony area in Savar for last few years, and there was a feud ongoing between Ratul and one Shujon, as Shujon attempting to grab Ratul's internet business for last few months.
Later on Thursday, Shujon and his associates carried an attack on Ratul and Arnob at Borakoir area randomly stabbed them leaving them critically injured. Later both were taken to hospital, but in the meantime Ratul died on the way. “Arnob also now in critical condition and undergoing treatment at Hospital”, they said.
SI Abdus Salam said, Hazi Abdur Roshid, father of the deceased Ratul filed a case with the station against 10 named and 3 to 4 other anonymous accused, and police are trying to nab the accused.
