A youth was stabbed to death by muggers at Uttara area in the capital early Sunday, soon after he came to Dhaka from Pabna.
The victim, identified as Md Sohan, 27, hailed from Pabna Sadar. He worked as a driver for a company and came to the capital for necessary work.
According to his brother, Md Shaon, “Sohan had arrived in Dhaka for official work. After getting off at the Uttara bus stand, muggers intercepted him, stole his phone and money, and stabbed him before fleeing.”
“Passersby discovered him on the road, bleeding, and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where doctors pronounced him dead" he added.
Inspector Md Faruk, in charge of the DMCH Police outpost, confirmed the incident, stating, “The body has been placed in the hospital morgue, and the case has been reported to the local police.”
