A 22-year-old unidentified youth’s body was recovered from Chaktai Khal (canal) under Bakalia Police Station in Chattogram city on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased's identity could not be known yet. He died seven or eight hours ago, police said.Sub-Inspector of Bakalia Police Station, Anwar Hossain, confirmed the matter.
The fire service recovered the body and sent it to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) morgue for autopsy, he said. “We are investigating the matter,” added the police official.
