A youth was killed as a motorcycle and a CNG-run auto rickshaw collided head on in Dattakhola area under Bijoynagar Upazila in Brahmanbaria on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Jitu Mia, 30, son of Koylan Mia, resident of the Upazila.
Jitu’s father said that he along with his son was going to Brahmanbaria by a CNG-run auto rickshaw in the morning. A motorcycle collided head on with the auto rickshaw carrying them in Dattakhola area, leaving Jitu injured critically. Locals rushed him to the Zila Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead. Bijoynagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge M Asadul Islam said that none informed him about the incidence.
