Police arrested a youth from Dilalpur area of Pabna on the allegation of distorting image of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina onTuesday.
The arrested youth has been identified as Rumel Islam (24) son of late Rabiul Islam of Dilalpur Jelepara of Pabna town. He was sent to jail through the court.
Court sources informed on Tuesday morning one Ahsanul Sarker Rajib of Shalgaria area of Pabna filed a case under Digital Security Act with Pabna Judicial Magistrate Court against Rumel Islam on the allegation of distorting image ( photo) of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from January 12, 2014.
Moreover, he has been uploading objectionable remarks through internet on Bangbandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman since March-3,2014 and thus defaming Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina socially.
As per the complaint of the case. Rumel Islam was arrested from his house, informed Nasim Ahmed, Officer-in-charge of Pabna Police station. He was sent to jail after a brief quizzing.
