Bangladesh Women’s A team defeated the Sri Lankan Women A team by 10 runs in their third match to clinch the five-match series by 3-0 on Sunday with two matches to play.
Bangladesh women’s national cricket team, who are touring Sri Lanka under the banner of ‘Bangladesh Women A’ team, following their 1-0 series victory in the one day series, keep up their winning streak in the T20 series with third successive victory over their hosts counter parts.
In the low scoring match, Bangladesh Women were restricted for 97 runs for nine in stipulated 20 overs but against some disciplined bowling attack from Nahida Akter and Marufa Akter the hosts were could manage 87 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs.
Bangladesh women, riding on some productive batting display by Sathi Rani Barman and Ritu Moni Bangladesh could score a respectable total.
Sathi Rani Barman and Ritu Moni were major contributions with making 26 and 25 runs respectively when the later was remained unbeaten.
Chasing to a beat challenging total, the hosts could only score 87 for eight when Nahida Akter and Marufa Akter played key role to restrict the opponents with claiming two wickets each.
