In Cox's Bazar, 25000 pieces of yaba tablets were found in the oil tank of a motorcycle. Manjurul Alam, the peddler was arrested by the district detective (DB) police at the time.
The yaba was seized and the youth was detained in a raid in the Ramu Football Square area of Cox's Bazar around 12:30 pm on Thursday.
Cox's Bazar District Detective Branch (DB) Police OC Sheikh Mohammad Ali confirmed the matter.
The DB OC said, based on secret news, a check post was set up at Ramu Football Square and 25,000 yaba were seized from the fuel tank of a person's motorcycle. A man named Manjurul Alam was arrested at that time. According to the confession, the detainee himself planned to smuggle 40 bottles filled with yaba. Each bottle contains a total of 25,000 yaba in 625 pieces.
During interrogation, the detainee said that he was going to Chittagong on a motorcycle through Link Road in Cox's Bazar. And the yaba was being delivered to Chittagong for 10,000 Tk.
OC Mohammad Ali said, 'We were able to arrest the drug trafficker in a clever way. Legal action is being taken against him in this regard.
