Being able to write well is definitely great quality. However, the path from 'being able to write something' to becoming a true 'writer' requires pursuit and devotion. Many of them may be regularly expressing their thoughts and feelings through writing on social media, blogs, and even in newspapers.

However, they still have a latent desire to publish a book of their own. All they need to do is hone their skills and get acquainted with the right people in the publishing industry. With the help of renowned publishing houses of Bangladesh to further illuminate the potential of the emerging writers of Bangladesh by overcoming such obstacles, a project is being ideated & initiated named ‘Writers Garage’ which is jointly organized by Youth Empowerment Facilitation-Global & Bangladesh Positive Foundation.

Emerging writers participating in the event will share part of their best manuscripts, and the publishers partnered with the event will select the top manuscripts from the submission, which will be published later in book format by the publishing house of the event.

In addition, to further refine their manuscript, there was held four virtual workshops for all participants in the event, with the participation of countries well-known authors and publishers last Friday and Saturday. The sessions were named as ‘The journey of successful Translation Book’ conducted by Author-Translator Mojaffor Hossain, ‘A to Z of writing a successful Non-Fiction Book’conducted by Author Munir Hasan, ‘What publisher wants from a writer’ by publisher Mohammad Mizanur Rahman (Shova Prokash), Nazib Rafe (Odommo Prokash), Joy Shahriar (Aajob Prokash) and lastly "From Short stories to Novel; secrets of writing best-seller fictions" by Author Dipu Mahmud.

There were digital certificates for all the participants in the event. The time for submitting the manuscript for publication of the book has been fixed till February 28. Md. Altamis Nabil, co-convener of Writers Garage and founder of Bangladesh Positive Foundation, said, "In our first year of this initiative, more than a hundred writers from all over the country have registered. We are overwhelmed by the expected response to such a unique initiative."
