World Teachers’ Day 2024 was observed in Thakurgaon district on Saturday with the motto “The voice of teacher: new social oath for education.” Various events were arranged on this occasion.
A colorful procession was brought out from the district administration premises on Saturday morning. The procession paraded through the main roads of the town.
Later, a discussion was arranged at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Thakurgaon Deputy Commissioner Ishrat Farzana presided over the discussion. Thakurgaon Superintendent of Police Sheikh Zahidul Islam, Principal of Govt Mahila College Md Abu Bakkar Siddique, District Education Officer Md Shaheen Akter, Headmaster of Primary School Imam Gazzali and other teachers spoke at the discussion.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sarder Mostofa Shahin, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Aktaruzzaman, teachers of various educational institutions of the district and others were present at that time. The teachers presented their various demands while speaking at the programme.
