A human chain was formed to create awareness marking the World Suicide Prevention Day at Teacher and Student Center (TSC) premises of Dhaka University on Thursday.
Students Guidance and Counseling office and Educational and Counseling Psychology department of the university jointly observed the program with the theme of the day was 'Building Hope through Action'.
DU VC Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman was present as the chief guest in the human chain program. Emphasizing on creating public awareness in suicide prevention Md. Akhtaruzzaman said, the Students Guidance and Counseling office should play an effective role.

Abnormal death is not expected in the society so the young generation should be conscious, capable and self-reliant to curb the tendency of suicide.
