National Sanitation Month and World Hand washing Day 2021 was observed with great enthusiasm under the theme "We ensure safe sanitation, build a healthy and strong Bangladesh" on Sunday in Kishoreganj town.
District Administration and Public Health Department of Kishoreganj jointly arranged the programme. A meeting was held on Kishoreganj Collectorate conference room.
Public Health Engineering Department Executive Engineer Muhammad Moshiur Rahman presided over the meeting. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shamim Alam attended the programme as chief guest.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md Nazmul Islam Sarker, District Primary Education Officer Subrata Bonik, Roads & Highway Department Executive Engineer Nitish Barua, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Md Mustafizur Rahman, Public Health Department Assistant Engineer Md Abu Zakaria, Estimator Robiul Islam, District Social Welfare Department Assistant Director Md. Shahidullah, Pakund Upazila Public Health Department Sub-Assistant Engineer Md.
Waliul Hossain, POPI Programme Officer AMF Ahad, BRAC Representative Shafiqul Islam and others were also present.
Before the discussion meeting, a hand washing demonstration was inaugurated at the office premises of Deputy Commissioner Kishoreganj.
