World Diabetes Day was celebrated in Jamalpur with the slogan 'Know diabetes to protect yourself in the future'. On the occasion of the day, a colorful procession and discussion meeting was organized by the Jamalpur Diabetic Association on the premises of the diabetes hospital in the city on Monday morning.
General Secretary of Jamalpur Diabetic Association, Syed Tariqul Islam, spoke at the exchange meeting, CEO of Jamalpur Diabetes Hospital Dr Md Moshair ul Islam Ratan, Journalists MA Jalil, Mostafa Manju, M Sultan Mahmud, Kaushar Ahmed etc.Speakers in the exchange meeting said that 200 to 250 patients are given medical care in the diabetes hospital every day and about 10 thousand patients receive treatment from this diabetes hospital every year.
The speakers also said that all diseases are diagnosed in this diabetes hospital with the latest equipment and there is a facility for low cost patient check-ups. The speaker urged people to go to the hospital and get the necessary advice without panic if diabetes problem occurs.
