With the motto “Let's fight antimicrobial resistance together”, Daratsaf Aharsarpatnardhash Adhitbahbong Dobash is celebrated. On this occasion, Munshiganj district administration and drug administration directorate district office organized a colorful rally and discussion meeting.
The rally took place in front of Munshiganj District Commissioner's office at 11 am on Wednesday.
Munshiganj district administration, drug administration directorate, officials of civil surgeon's office, leaders of Bangladesh Chemist and Druggist Association and general drug dealers were present in the rally.
At the end of the rally, a discussion meeting was organized in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner. Md. Rajibul Habib, Assistant Director of Medicine Administration Munshiganj Office, gave a welcome speech in the discussion meeting under the chairmanship of learned Additional District Magistrate Shilu Roy.
Then Mr. Mahbub Hossain, Assistant Director of the Department of Medicines Administration gave a presentation on the causes of antimicrobial resistance and the measures taken by the Department of Medicines to prevent it. Munshiganj Sadar UHFPO Dr. Md. Kamrul Hasan, Medical Officer Dr. Md. Jasim Uddin and Additional District Commissioner (General) Md. Abdul Qadir Mia discussed the antibiotic resistance in the meeting.
Chairman of the meeting learned Additional District Magistrate Mr. Shilu Roy said, we all have to work together to protect our future generation from antimicrobial resistance.
In the meeting, the terrible changes in antimicrobial resistance and the ways to prevent antimicrobial resistance and what to do by those concerned were discussed in detail.
