Workshop on temple-based children and mass education progs held in Meherpur

A workshop on the role of temple-based children and mass education programmes in achieving sustainable development goals and promoting moral education was held in Meherpur.

The workshop was inaugurated in the hall room of the District Shilpakala Academy around 11:00am on Wednesday. Deputy Commissioner Shamim Hasan presided over the workshop while Superintendent of Police Nazmul Haque, Trustee of Hindu Religious Welfare Trust of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Shambhunath Roy, public prosecutor of District Judge Court Advo Pallab Bhattacharjee, teachers of 25 temple-based children's programmes and journalists from electronic and print media participated in the workshop.

In the first half of the workshop, recitation from the holy Gita and lighting of lamps were held while the National Anthem was sung. Guest speakers gave guidance on how to improve temple-based education programmes at the workshop.
