A workshop on 'Discipline and Appeal Rules for National Integrity Strategy' aimed at implementing National Integrity Strategy was held at Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), Gazipur on Sunday virtually.
The workshop was organized by the Duet Ethics Committee, Annual Performance Agreement (APA) Team and Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). At the same time, he highlighted the significance of the National Integrity Strategy, saying that a nation cannot be built as an ideal nation by law alone to achieve its desired success. This requires the practice of ethics and values. Each of us has to fulfill our responsibilities and duties properly from our place. In addition, in order to establish transparency, accountability, reduce corruption and establish good governance, every individual and organization must ensure accountability to the people for all kinds of government activities. He further said that all the universities have to work together to achieve the desired goals of the National Integrity Strategy Plan as opposed to the Annual Performance Agreement. He warned everyone to protect the environment on the occasion of World Environment Day. He called for minimizing the damage to the environment and making it habitable for the people. He also called upon all to nurture the ideals and philosophy of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the greatest Bengali nation of all time, and build a developed state under the leadership of Prime Minister and Leader of the People Sheikh Hasina.
The workshop was chaired by Prof Dr Md. Raju Ahmed, Team Leader of APA Team of Duet and Director of IQAC. Mohammad Abu Al Bashar, Deputy Registrar, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur was present as the resource person in the technical session of the workshop. The workshop was attended by members of various committees related to APA of the University and representatives of various departments, institutes and offices.
