A two-day training workshop on landslide prevention ended in Ukhia.
The training programme was organized by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in collaboration with the upazila administration and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Upazila Executive Officer Tanveer Hossain was the chief guest at the workshop titled "Landslide Prevention and Disaster Mitigation through Natural Solutions" held at the Ukhia Officers Club Conference Room.
At that time, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mohammad Al Mamun, UNDP Upazila Field Coordinator Salim Uddin, Ukhia Press Club President Syed Muhammad Anwar and Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Field Coordinator, Danis Refugee Council Supervisor and CPP Team Leader were present.
The workshop provides ideas on what to do on an urgent basis to protect Jamal from natural landslides and minimize damage.
