Mohammad Dulal Mia, aged 45, tragically lost his life due to electrocution at a husk factory located in the Amulia Model Town area of Demra, in the capital.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning around 9:30 am. According to factory manager Mohammad Maksud, Dulal Mia was accidentally electrocuted while operating a machine.
He was promptly rescued and he was initially treated at a local hospital. As his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced medical care, where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
Dulal Mia hails from Noakhali district but had been residing in the Demra Amulia Model Town area.
Inspector in charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp Bachchu Miah confirmed the fatality and stated that the body has been placed in the emergency department mortuary pending further procedures. The incident has been reported to the relevant police station for necessary action.
