A day-long training on integrity was held at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet with the participation of teachers from 12 departments.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the event held at Mini Auditorium on Saturday (September 23).
In the speech of the chief guest, Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed said, “We are committed to implementing the national cleanliness policy. We are making everyone skilled by organizing various training workshops throughout the year. The reflection of which you have already received. With our combined efforts we placed 2nd in APA. We have to work harder to maintain this position.”
The VC also said that digital library was established in the university. “I am looking at the trend of increasing the research budget to continue. The implementation of infrastructure development here is at a fast pace. Digitized transport system will be implemented in few days. Participation of female students has increased in all fields, including sports. Everyone's cooperation is needed to sustain this progress,” he added.
At this time, the pro-vice chancellor of the university Prof. Dr. Md Kabir Hossain and Treasurer Professor Amina Parveen spoke as a special guest.
