Utilizing the benefits of digital Bangladesh, women are advancing in their own labor and talent. By becoming entrepreneurs, women are not only making themselves self-reliant, they are also playing an important role in the economic and social activities of the country. For the welfare of these women, Bangladesh is standing tall in the world court economically.’
These were the words of the speakers at the Cox's Bazar Motel Shaibal Hall Room Awarding Entrepreneur of the Year award organized by an organization of women entrepreneurs called 'Rosna Bilas Trustee and Glorious Women Entrepreneurs of Bangladesh'.
Cox's Bazar Development Authority Chairman Lt Colonel (retd) Forkan Ahmed said, "Sheikh Hasina's government has empowered women since coming to power. The priority of women in education, jobs and politics has also been ensured.”
He added, "Now women are a force, not a burden to the family and society. Women are also earning in tandem with men. Standing on his own two feet. There are also women who carry the burden of the world on their shoulders alone. 'Forkan Ahmed assured that women entrepreneurs will be by his side at this time. More than 150 women entrepreneurs from different districts of the country including Cox's Bazar were present on the occasion.
Women entrepreneurs say that where everyone is competing to take themselves to unique heights, the exception is Shahrin Jahan Ifta, a girl from Chattogram and a housewife in Cox's Bazar. She is the owner of Rosna Bilas Trustee and the owner of Glorious Women Entrepreneurs of Bangladesh.
Ifta has not only taken herself to unique heights, she has created hundreds of women entrepreneurs with her own talent and labor. Last but not least, Ifta regularly seeks out women entrepreneurs and inspires them throughout the year by organizing various events including fairs.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahreen Jahan Ifta, proprietor of Rasna Bilas Trustee, said, "I have gone from housewife to female entrepreneur. Rosna Bilas Trustee is not mine alone, all of us who are more than 500 women entrepreneurs standing under one roof in a row. I want to take everyone with me to the pinnacle of success. That is why today's event is to inspire women entrepreneurs. '
At the end of the ceremony, 6 women were awarded in different categories. In 2021, Glorious Women Entrepreneur of Bangladesh won the Entrepreneur of the Year award.
In addition, Selina Haque received the Rasna Bilas Chef of the Year award, Fahmida Akhter, a girl from Dhaka became the Member of the Year for Rasna Bilas, and Nasreen Sultana Annie received the Best Seller of the Year award at the online fair.
