Leaders of Bangladesh Mohila Parishad (BMP), Rajshahi District Unit, at a press conference held at its Rajshahi Office recently informed that a total of 150 women and children repression cases were recorded in Rajshahi district from January to October 2023. Of those 47 were children repression cases.
The BNP leaders also called for creating consciousness among family members, ensuring equal rights between males and females, creating resistance against dowry, child marriage and family violence, amicable behaviour with family violence victims and a strong social network to resist violence against women and children.
The press conference was attended, among others, by Kalpana Roy and Anjona Sarker, the President and the General Secretary of BMP.
