Bangladesh women's football team was initially scheduled to play two matches in Thimphu, Bhutan, on July 11 and 14. However, due to flight complications, the team, led by Sabina, could not make the trip. The matches have now been rescheduled, and the team will travel to Bhutan next Monday to play two friendly matches, as confirmed by reliable sources within the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).
There were plans to organise a tri-nation tournament in the third week of July, involving hosts Bhutan, Nepal, and Bangladesh. However, with Nepal showing no interest, only Bangladesh and Bhutan will now compete in a two-match friendly series.
Meanwhile, On Wednesday, July 17, which is a public holiday for Ashura, the BFF executive committee will hold a meeting. This meeting will primarily finalise the dates and details concerning the upcoming BFF elections and related matters. The meeting was initially scheduled for July 13 but was postponed 48 hours prior.
