A woman has given birth to three children in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat. All three are baby boys.
Housewife and mother of those three babies Santwana Begum (21) is from Kuchalibari village of ward 5 of Kuchalibari union of Bari upazila. He husband Md. Rashidul Islam is a farmer.
When the news of the birth of three children spread in the village, hundreds of men and women gathered in their house. The mother and three new-borns are all healthy.
Last Friday (July 3), the woman gave birth to a baby boy through a caesarean section at a private clinic in Rangpur. She came home yesterday after treatment.
After learning about the incident, Patgram Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mashiur Rahman, Upazila Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Uttam Kumar Nandi and others went to see the mother and the new-borns.
The children's father Rashidul Islam said, 'I am a poor man. I am very happy that my wife gave birth to three children at the same time.'
Patgram UNO Mohammad Mashiur Rahman said, 'After receiving the news, I went to the house and saw the mother and children. The family is financially indigent.
So, for the mother to be physically healthy and for her children to get proper nutrition, nutritious food and cash have been provided.
