A couple was trafficked to India with the hope of good jobs by some local traffickers but unfortunately the woman was forced into prostitution.
A case has been filed with Jashore Kotwali model police station in this regard by the victim’s husband on Sunday morning.
The case was filed against 5 persons including three siblings for forcing the woman into prostitution after trafficking to India.
The accused are identified as Moina Begum, 20, Nasrin Begum, 19, and Mithu Mia, 21.
Moyna Begum and her husband tempted the couple of a good job in India with high salary. On the afternoon of September 5, 2019, accused Mithu left home for India with the couple along with a three-years-old boy.
They crossed the border through Bhomra border to the house of another broker named Sagar and handed them over to a Indian broker named Dhali of India the next day.
Dhali kept them in a rented house in Mughalpura of Hyderabad. After 3/4 days, the husband was sent out to look for work while the woman was forced into prostitution. When, the woman did not agree she was beaten. Then the woman informed her husband and the husband informed local police station. Police rescued the woman and arrested accused Moyna Begum.
The police also sent the husband to jail through the court. After being released from there, the husband returned home on November 25, 2020.
Later, a human rights organization Rights Jashore brought back a total of four people, including the woman, through Benapole Border on 28 November.
