Wheelchairs (assistive device) were distributed to the primary school students with special needs at Kalkini in Madaripur on Wednesday.
The assistive device (Wheelchair) distribution ceremony, financed by Primary Education Office and organized by Upazila Administration and Upazila Primary Education Office, was held the conference room of Upazila Parishad on Wednesday.
Kalkini Upazila Primary Education Officer M Bodiuzzaman presided over the program.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Uttam Kumar Das was present there as the chief guest. Three children with special needs and also students of Dhulgram Government Primary School, Baghmara Government Primary School and Tumchar Government Primary School received the assistive device (wheelchairs). Meanwhile, Kalkini Upazila Engineer Rezaul Karim, Agriculture Officer Milton Biswas, Assistant Education Officers Abul Kalam, Anisur Rahman, Subhash Choudhury, students and guardians were also present at the programme.
