The sixth edition of the Women Football League (WFL) will kick off in March, organized by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), the football highest governing body, as informed on Saturday. Player’s registration began last Thursday at the BFF premises and will continue until March 4. But none of the clubs registered any players on the opening day.

A total of 12 teams took part in the 2022 WFL. The Bashundhara Kings are the defending champions. The club will not take part in the upcoming WFL. The hat-trick champion’s team is not taking part in the WFL this season, which is a big blow for the league.

Runner-up Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan College Sporting Club (ARB), Uttara FC, will also participate in the WFL. Nine clubs will take part in the league.

Barishal Football Academy, Cumilla United, and FC Brahmanbaria played last league matches, but they will not participate this year.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Army Sports Club has recently joined the league. Though the Kings Women team is not taking part in the league, what will be their players' future?

BFF-informed teams can register two foreign players in the league. Two players can play at a time.

The clubs are as follows:

Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan College Sporting Club (ARB), Uttara FC, Siraj Smrity Songsod, Nasrin Sporting Club, Suddopuskorini Jubo SC, Jamalpur Kacharipara Akadas, Dhaka Rangers FC, Farashganj SC, and Bangladesh Army Sports Club.
