The World Heart Day-2019 was observed across the country on Sunday with much enthusiasm. The day was observe with the slogan 'For building a sound heart we should promise together'.
In Faridpur, a discussion was held at auditorium of Combined Health Service Building organized by Faridpur Heart Foundation in Faridpur, reports our Faridpur Correspondent
President of Faridpur heart foundation Dr Md Mostafijur Rahman Shameem presided over the meeting while Deputy Commissioner of Faridpur district Atul Sarker delivered his speech as a chief guest.
At that time, Additional Police Super Jamal Pasha, Vice-president of Faridpur Heart Foundation Prof Md Shajahan Shachip, Dr M A Jalil, Heart Specialist Dr Md Yunus Ali were also present.
Speakers said, today's youths are very weaker than seniors. Because, we are not eating hygienic food. We have to take exercise regularly and avoid adulterated food. Meanwhile, 30 percent people died in heart attack every year in the world.
In Kishoreganj, marking the day, a meeting was held at Kishoreganj Islamia Super Market premises, reports our Kishoreganj Correspondent.
Kishoreganj unit General Secretary of National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh Md. Jalal Uddin presided over the meeting. It was addressed, among others, by Kishoreganj unit Treasurer of National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh Md. Golam Faruk, Organising Secretary A.K.M Osman Goni Kito, and Law Affairs Secretary Shakil Ahmed.
Later, a colourfull rally was brought out in the town.
