Inspector General of Police Dr. Mohammad Javed Patwary in the inauguration ceremony of a new branch of police backed bank named Community Bank of Bangladesh limited said that the police are pledge-bound to serve the people. This is the second branch of CBBL opened at Panchabati Akbar tower at 11 am on Thursday under Fatulla model police station in the district.
Patwary added that since the liberation of the country the role of the police against militants and terrorists has been like that of warriors. The prime minister inaugurated our first branch of bank for which we are very proud, IGP added. Besides, the IGP laid foundation stone of eight other projects.
The projects are district police lines barrack bhaban, three floor extension of Narayanganj sadar model police station, Shiddhirganj thana bhaban, three floor extension of Fatulla model police station, Gopaldi investigation center building, district police lines residential building, district police multipurpose hall and Araihazar thana building construction works.
Among others in the ceremony - Additional IGP Moinur Rahman Choudhury, Abdus Salam, DIG Abu Hasan Mohammad Tarik, Habibur Rahman, DC Narayanganj Mohammad Jasimuddin, acting police super Monirul Islam, acting commanding officer of RAB-11 Squadron Leader Md. Rezaul Haq, police super of Munshiganj ZayedulAlam, BKMEA vice-president Mohammad Hatem and local elites were present.
