Warrants of arrest have been issued against two officials of Rajshahi Education Board. Faisal Tarque, Judge of Rajshahi Metropolitan Magistrate Court-4 issued the arrest warrants after hearing on Monday.
These two Board officials have been identified as Monjur Rahman Khan, Deputy Controller of Examinations( Secondary) and Walid Hossain, Deputy-Secretary( Sports Officer). It is learnt, Monjur Rahman Khan and Walid Hossain have been working as the President and the General Secretary respectively of Rajshahi Education Board Officers' Welfare Association.
According to sources, in October last year former Secretary of Rajshahi Education Board Professor Moazzem Hossain filed a case against Monjur Rahman and Walid Hossain of entering into his official chamber and trying to assault him by creating panic on September-12, 2021 evening.
Lawyer of the plaintiff Ekramul Haque informed, the court issued summons against the defendants to appear before the court but both of the defendants did not appear before the court on the assigned day on Monday. As a result, the court issued the warrant of arrest against them. Rajpara thana police have been asked to take necessary action in this connection.
