The derailed carriage of Mymensingh Express train departing from Mymensingh Railway Junction Station to Chittagong has been recovered. The buggy was recovered at 10:05 am on Monday. After two and a half hours, the Mymensingh-Gouripur section started running.
On the same day, two wheels of a compartment of 38 Down Mymensingh Express derailed in Balashpur area of the city at around 7:35 am. In this incident, Mymensingh-Bhairab, Mymensingh-Gouripur, Mymensingh-Mohanganj-Jaria trains were stopped.
With this, three times in a span of 15 days and for the fourth time this year, the coach derailed in the same area. Earlier, on December 17 and 11 and on September 18, the same carriage of the train derailed in Balashpur area of the city.
Mymensingh Railway Assistant Executive Engineer Narayan Prasad Sarkar said that the same compartment of the same train derailed four times in one year. It is assumed that the problem is the compartment. The rail line is fixed when two probe line faults are reported. But even when all the other trains were running, the same compartment of the same train was derailing. So this time the train was being taken to repair factory in Chittagong.
He also said that the employees of Kewatkhali Locode went to the spot and started working after receiving the information about the derailment of the carriage. Later the coach was recovered and taken to Mymensingh Railway Junction Station.
