The Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Mobile Railway Museum attracts the attention of the visitors of the divisional city of Mymensingh. This museum is arranged with 12 consecutive episodes of the father of the nation's growing up and working life. The exhibition opened from Thursday will continue till next Monday. The museum is open to all from 10 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 6 pm daily.
With the aim of conveying unknown information about Bangabandhu’s struggling life to the people of the remote areas of the country, the Railways has organized the lucrative Museum under the supervision of the Ministry of Railways.
By entering it, visitors will know the childhood days of the father of the nation. Visitors can learn about his student life, growing up, becoming a leader of people’s lives through the struggle for human rights, his contribution as one of the organizers of the language movement, suffering indescribable torture in the struggle for human rights.
Apart from this, the visitors can be informed about the tragic picture of false cases and imprisonment, the uncompromising struggle against the Pakistan government at that time, the historic six points of the Bengali nation’s liberation charter, the mass uprising of 1969, the great liberation war, and the various steps taken in the reconstruction of the independent country. Every piece of content displayed through videos and still images.
At one end of the coach, important speeches including the historic March 7 speech and theme songs on Bangabandhu are being aired. The museum has a bookshelf modeled after the Jai Bangla slogan. Where there are important books written on Bangabandhu and his career. Besides, there are various children's literary works written on Bangabandhu. A flower garden has been created in the museum.
12 beautiful tables have placed replicas of father of the nation's ancestral residence, his used glasses, pipes, Mujib coat, 13 historical monuments including Tungipara's burial place. Apart from this, there are rare pictures of the freedom struggle, including the national memorial, a symbol of the country's freedom and glory. There is a letter written by Bangabandhu himself. The exterior of the museum is decorated with murals depicting the struggle from the language movement of 1952 to the liberation war of 1971. Sumaiya Yasmin said that she came to the railway station for exploring the traveling museum. This is an exceptional initiative to inform people about Bangabandhu.
Super Jahangir Akand of Mymensingh Railway Junction said that this exceptional initiative has been taken to honor Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of his birth centenary. This initiative is to convey Bangabandhu's struggle life, philosophy, his sacrifice and contribution to the nation from the city to the remote areas of the village and to present it to the new generation through the railway network.
