Following the long term covid-19 impact, to increase the country's export and help other foreign buyers to recognize Bangladesh as a sourcing country, the authorities concerned is gonging to organised virtual export next month.
Due to the long stagnated situation of the pandemic, product display and international fair remain suspended. In this situation, Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has taken initiative to organise a seven days long virtual fair titled ‘Sourcing Bangladesh 2021 Virtual Edition’.
According to EPB sources, Virtual fair will showcase its products, present audio-visual and digital brochures to the participating companies in the 7-day virtual exhibition, as well as host virtual Business to Business (B2B) meetings and webinars. Alongside, buyer-seller database will be available on the exhibition website. During the exhibition, buyers and sellers will be able to talk through live chat, audio and video conference and get their product information.
The major export sectors of Bangladesh like readymade garments, leather and leather products, jute and jute products, home furnishings and home textiles, pharmaceuticals, agricultural and agro-processed products, plastics, light engineering products, electric and electronics, information technology furniture, ceramics will attend the Virtual Fair to search for new buyers for local exporters by liaising with potential foreign buyers.
