Villagers of Taminagar under Umedpur union at Shailkupa upazila in Jhenidah proved their confidence as they have started construction work of 33-foot height Eidhgah with seven domes.
Each of the domes will be 36 feet in diametre. Four lucrative minars (tower) at the corners will be constructed at 55 feet in height which seems to be the highest of its kind in the country. The beauty of the well decorated Eidgah will be visible from every corner of the surrounding areas. The same will also offer lucrative beauty during the night.
A number of people of Taminagar said that they decided to build a modern Eidgah at the village where the Muslim devotees will enjoy every facilities like hygienic toilet and bathroom, ojukhana and permanent shed to protect them from rain and heat. Further, they are thinking to establish a rest room for the devotees and visitors. About 2,000 devotees can attend Eid jamaat at the Eidgah.
President of Taminagar Kedriyo Ottadhunik Mega Eidgah committee Hossain Ali Biswas said that the attractive Eidgah is being constructed on 23 decimals of land. The names and addresses of 32 important donors of the village was printed on the walls at right side to recognize their contribution.
Prime entrepreneur and designer Abdul Alim said searching a number of catalogues from the internet, he had selected the design of the Eidgah which was accepted by his villagers. The construction work began on June 26 in 2017 and it will be completed by December next year, he informed. Not only the Taminagar villagers, but also devotees from neighboring villages can attend the Eid congregation here.
