In the last flood, the electricity department cut off the electricity connection of three villages of No. Although the next electric line has been fully repaired, since the last 8 months, electricity has not been connected to a pole, about 2,000 hectares of agricultural land in three villages of No. 6 with irrigation works, small and medium industries and hundreds of legitimate residential customers are suffering due to the lack of electricity.
As a result, the residents are deprived of electricity . 74 individuals including Rezaul and Shafiqul Islam signed separate petitions, Chairman, Power Development Board and ChiefDespite several pleas to the executive engineer, including the sending of the inspector to Mymensingh region, they did not get any benefit.
The consumers complained that despite being legitimate electricity consumers, they did not get electricity connection for 8 months, including disruption of their agricultural crops.
It is immersed in darkness. It has been found that hundreds of acres of land in that area are covered with green crops of paddy, potato, brinjal, pepper vegetables, tal taritkari, tomato, votra and mustard. But agricultural irrigation is very important for the production of these crops in the coming days.
After investigation, it was found that the fallen electrical pole has been fully repaired and operational, only 3 wires are left to be connected (jumpering) to a pole of 11 KVA. 3 The area will be electrified only when the cable is connected.
However, Jamalpur's Executive Prokoushi has started the construction of a new line of 11 KVA 8 poles at No. 6 Char without 3-wire connection (jumpering).
Rezaul, Shafiqul Islam, Naib Ali, Amjad Hossain, Soja Mia, Manik Sek, Midul Mandal complained that they are not getting electricity connection for a long time despite repeated requests to the Executive Engineer of Sales and Distribution Department Uppal Kumar Saha for connection.
As a result, due to lack of electricity, three villages have been plunged into darkness, with production of rabi and kharif crops of nearly 2,000 hectares of cropland in their area disrupted. Sales and Distribution Department Jamalpur Executive Engineer Uppal Kumar Saha asked about this, he confirmed the truth of the incident and said, So electricity has been disconnected.
He said that steps will be taken to provide connection. In this regard, they sought the good opinion of the honorable Prime Minister along with the higher authorities.
