Coordination Cell of Bangladesh Awami League on Tuesday visited Noakhali to support the the people caused by cyclone Fani.
AL acting General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif lead the party team. AL presidium member Begum Matia Chowdhury, Joint General Secretary Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Agriculture and Cooperatives Secretary Faridunnahar Laily, Education and Human Resource Affairs Secretary Shamsunnahar Chapa, Noakhali-4 constituency lawmaker Ekramul Karim Chowdhury and district AL President Principal Khairul Anam Chowdhury Selim, among others, were present on the occasion.
They visited East Shulkukia and Subornochar village of Noakhali Sadar to support the victims. At that time they distributed relief material among the victims.
Mahbubul alam Hanif advised the people not to lose their heart. He said that no victims will not be found without food and house. Every family will be given house.
Complaining about BNP's lying on the natural disaster, he said, "Awami League does bears lie in politics. This party stands beside the people in all disasters including natural disasters."
Matia Chowdhury urged the government officials to follow the transparency rule in the distribution of relief materials. He said, "It is not possible to give government allocations in such a hurricane and Harilutt should not be allowed”.
'Awami League does politics only for the people's service. Not only in the government, but in the opposition, we have stood beside the distressed people, she added.
BSS adds: Hanif said the people have no control over natural disasters. “You should not be hopeless, you should remain patient. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is in London now, gave us directives to stay beside you,” he told the victims. The AL acting general secretary said as long as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina remains alive, none will starve and become homeless. The government will build new houses for every family, whose houses got damaged due to Fani, he added.
