A press conference, demanding punishment of the alleged rapist Emon Chowdhury, was held at Khulna Press Club recently.
At the press conference, victim's mother Kajol Begum said, on August 24, my daughter went to Shiromoni Chowdhury Pharmacy as she became sick. At that time, Emon Chowdhury, owner of the pharmacy, gave her some medicines after primary examination.
Later, Emon pushed her an injection as her condition deteriorated. On the next day, she became very sick and Emon asked her to stay at a room on the ground floor of his house. At midnight, Emon raped her forcefully. Hearing her screaming, Emon’s wife Priya rescued my daughter, she also said.
After five days, we were able to bring my daughter to our house, she added.
A case was filed with Khanjahan Ali Police Station in this connection on September 23.
