Students of anti-discriminatory student movement said a vested quarter under the banner of anti-discriminatory student movement is engaged in clashes, vandalizing and looting.

They made the comment in a press conference held at a local restaurant in Jhenaidah on Saturday in light of the recent unrest situation in the district, similar to the other parts of the country. They urged to unite with the students and resist the crimes conducted by some ill-motive people in the name of the anti-discriminatory student movement.

The students warned the miscreants saying the common students’ community is not anyway involved in any heinous activities. Rather, they are committed to protect the people and their properties at any cost.

They said they are monitoring the present activities so that no such crime can be conducted any more. They also urged the police community to resume their duties and participate in protecting the people as it is their role and responsibility to protect them. The students said the student’s community did not organize themselves to serve the purpose of any political party, individual or opinion.
