The Twitter account for the upcoming movie, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, has just announced that there will be an online event called "Venom Day" on September 27 to promote the film. The first ‘Venom’ film was released back on October 5, 2018, and while it was not well-received by critics, the audience rating was much higher.

The box office for the movie was also very profitable, bringing in a whopping $855 million worldwide. Shortly after its release, the sequel film was announced. ‘Let There Be Carnage’, like many other recent movies, has had its release date shifted around multiple times due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but it is finally almost here.

‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ takes place a year after the events of the first movie. It will see Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) dealing with his body being the host of alien symbiote, Venom, and also attempting to rekindle his career as an investigative journalist by interviewing serial killer, Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson). Kasady ends up becoming the host for the symbiote containing Carnage and escapes prison. Eddie/Venom will have to stop Carnage and Kasady's girlfriend, Frances Barrison (Naomie Harris), the host of another symbiote called Shriek.     Screen Rant

The upcoming sequel will also star Michelle Williams, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Peggy Lu.

Now, in preparation for the release of the movie, the official VenomMovie Twitter account for ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ has announced ‘Venom Day’, with a promo video for the online event. The video posted is short, but teases excitement to come.

What exactly “Venom Day” is remains to be seen, but it should be exciting for fans of the upcoming sequel. There could be more marketing materials released, such as TV spots, posters, or behind-the-scenes videos, since the film's release date is coming up very soon.
