Varsity students play vital role in fighting Covid-19 crisis

A university student’s leading role to protect COVID-19 by saving money for education and inspiring family members including parents. Mirza Ghalib Satej who is a university student has been working with 10 friends for more than three months under the banner of 'Swopner Khoje Foundation'. 

They have already distributed food items among 500 helpless people. Beside free vegetables market, paddy harvesting of poor farmers, free medical camps, distribution of new clothes for Eid were arranged by them. In these works, the members of the foundation have garnered praise from people of different professions including government and non-government officials.

Sources said, the members of the foundation have been working for the helpless unemployed people in the district since the beginning of coronavirus. 

The founder of the foundation, Mirza Ghalib Satej an eighth-semester student in computer science and engineering at Daffodil University, started working for corona on March 24 with 10 friends to save money for his studies. 

Initially, they started their activities by distributing masks and disinfectant sprays in different areas of Narail but later they delivered food items to the houses of helpless people. Meanwhile, members of the foundation have cut the paddy of poor farmers during the boro paddy season. 

They also distributed medicines including free medical camps to disadvantaged mothers and children, distributed food items to hospital patients and orphans, pedestrians and disadvantaged people. On the other hand, new clothes for Eid were given to 100 disadvantaged and orphaned children. 

Superintendent of Police Mohammad Jasim Uddin PPM, Civil Surgeon Dr Abdul Momen, Superintendent of Narail Sadar Hospital Dr Abdus Shakur, Narail Sadar Hospital’s Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Dr Mashiur Rahman Babu, Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Krishna Roy were present in the occasions which organied by Khoje Foundation. 

Founder of the Foundation Mirza Ghalib Satej said he has been working for helpless people since 2017. Satej's parents are happy with their son's humanity works. His father BM Nazrul Islam said, "It is a matter of great prides that working for human welfare without spending any money on drugs or misguidance." 

Civil Surgeon Dr. Abdul Momen said that even in the difficult moments of Corona virus, the young boys liked these extraordinary initiatives. Superintendent of Police Mohammad Jasim Uddin said that I liked the activities for Coronavirus crisis period of Mirza Ghalib Satej, the founder of the foundation.
