State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has said that the use of information technology will enhance the quality of customer service and will create a corruption-free service system by reducing the interference of middlemen.
Nasrul Hamid said this while speaking at the celebration programme of 'Digital Bangladesh Day-2021' organized by Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) at Bidyut Bhaban in the capital on Sunday.
He was speaking as the chief guest while DPDC Managing Director Engineer Bikash Dewan presided over the function.
Nasrul Hamid said, “Digital Bangladesh means a developed Bangladesh free from hunger and poverty, the golden Bengal of Bangabandhu's dream. The use of technology must be increased to build self-reliant modern institutions. Other power distribution companies are also being rapidly digitized to enhance the quality of service.”
Md. Habibur Rahman, Secretary of Power Division said, "We need to strengthen the relationship with the customer directly through the implementation of Digital Bangladesh."

DPDC Managing Director Bikash Dewan said, "DPDC is constantly working on modernization of power system, improvement of customer service and development of internal management to build a digital Bangladesh."
