Expatriates of United States of America under the organisation titled Zilla society USA Inc in Jhenaidah have handed over 25 oxygen cylinders for the treatment of the corona infected patients. The cylinders were distributed in the conference room of the deputy commissioner (DC) in a simple ceremony in Jhenaidah on Sunday noon.
DC Mozibor Rahman attended the programme as chief guest, while superintendent of police (SP) Muntasirul Islam, deputy Director (DD) of the local government Yearul Islam, Jhenaidah Sadar hospital superintendent Dr. Harun Or Rashid among others present as special guests.
Organization president Abdul Mazid, general secretary Habib Mohammad Ahsanullah was connected in the virtual discussion. Zakaria Mithu, vice president of the organization handed over 25 oxygen cylinders to the deputy commissioner. Expatriate freedom fighter Abu Jafar Feroz, Saifur Rahman Mithu and Idris Ali among others were present during the prgramme.
DC Mozibor Rahman had thanked the organization leaders when they came up with the decision so stand by the ailing people in Jhenaidah in the crisis hours.
Organization president Abdul Mazid in his speech said they did not forget the crisis of Bangladesh staying in the USA when the global havoc had hit in the south west part of the country like Jhenaidah. They were feeling comport staying with the ailing people during the pandemic, Abdul Mazid said.
