A delegation from the US Embassy in Bangladesh arrived at Chittagong University to brief them on the benefits of higher education in the United States. A seminar entitled 'Information Seminar on US Higher Education and Exchange Program Opportunities' was held at the conference room of the CU Vice Chancellor's Office on Tuesday.
The seminar was presided over by Chittagong University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shirin Akhter. CU Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Benu Kumar Dey spoke on the occasion. CU Registrar (Acting) Prof. SM Monirul Hasan spoke on the benefits of higher education in the United States to distinguished teachers and students at the Chittagong University.
CU VC said that the United States is a true friend of Bangladesh. Today's seminar is very significant in the presence of the US Embassy delegation to continue the 50 years of friendly relations between the United States and Bangladesh. Through this seminar, young teachers and students of Chittagong University will have the opportunity to pursue higher education in the United States with scholarships in their desired field.
She said the huge young society of Bangladesh is talented and promising. Some of them will be doctors, engineers, lawyers, professionals, policy makers, officials and employees of different sectors of government; Some of them will go abroad and come to the country with higher education and will be dedicated to public welfare.
Many of our young teachers and researchers are contributing to the creation of enlightened human resources through the distribution of knowledge among students after receiving higher education from universities around the world, including the United States.
Distinguished teachers and students participating in the seminar participated in the open discussion.
