US-Bangla resumes Kolkata flights on Oct 21

US-Bangla Airlines will resume flights on Dhaka-Kolkata-Dhaka route from October 21 under air bubble agreement signed between Bangladesh and India.

The flights will leave Dhaka at 9:45 am every Thursday and Saturday while the return flights will depart Kolkata at 11:00 am on the same days.

Passengers will have to obtain Covid-19 negative test report within 72 hours before departure. They will also need to undergo Covid-19 tests at their own expense after arrival in Kolkata.

The fare on Dhaka-Kolkata route one-way is BDT 7,226 while the return fare is BDT 12,733.

US-Bangla will operate Boeing 737-800 with 164 seat capacity on Dhaka-Kolkata-Dhaka route.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh accepted the Indian counterpart’s proposal for resuming flights between the two countries under air bubble agreement on September 4.

Later, both countries decided to increase the flight frequency under air bubble from seven to 21 per week per country.
