An UP Secretary in Faridpur’s Alfadanga has been suspended on charges of corruption and various irregularities in the government’s food-friendly program. The information was revealed in a letter signed by Faridpur Deputy Commissioner Atul Sarkar on Monday.
The Alfadanga Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) confirmed the incident and said he had been suspended for corruption in the government's food-friendly program (rice at Tk 10 per kg) and involvement in various irregularities in the union council.
