Tarek Bin Osman Sharif, the descendant of the first martyr of Maheshkhali in Cox's Bazar and the Chairman of the Kallarma union, is delivering food items to the homes of poor and low-income people amid corona virus outbreak.
Moving from home to home, in the last 3 days, he provided essential food items, including rice, pulses, onions and potatoes among the 1,200 families of the union on his own finance. Chairman Tareq Bin Osman Sharif said, “Last March 29 was the eighth death anniversary of my father, Shahid Osman Gani Osman. On this occasion, a yearly gathering of 50,000 people is held”.
But, this time, pandemic corona virus panic has spread throughout the world. In the meantime, after thinking about the helpless people of my union, I canceled the yearly gathering and decided to distribute food among the helpless families, he added.
He also said, in the last 3 days, I have moved from house to house and provided food items to over 1,200 families. I think it is better to be able to provide food for helpless people at this moment of disaster than holding the gathering.
Chairman Tariq Sharif also said that in this time of disaster, the rich people of every area should come forward to help these poor people and extend their support.
