The Center for Teaching and Learning (CETL) of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) held the last session of the faculty orientation for the fall term at its Dhanmondi premises on Thursday. Topics like Institutional policies, safety security measures, what it means to be an academician, the liberal arts concepts, quality in teaching and learning, the interactive classrooms, factors affecting learners, KPIs and online teaching-learning platforms were addressed through engaging discussions.
The three-hour-long sessions were conducted by Professor Shamshad Mortuza, pro vice Chancellor (VC), ULAB; Professor Jude William Genilo, head of the Department Media Studies and Journalism, Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell, Arifa Rahman, Associate Professor of Department of English and Humanities, Dr Mohammad Tareque Rahman, Associate Professor, General Education Department, Director Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning and Arzoo Ismail, senior lecturer ULAB School of Business, assistant proctor, ULAB, Chairperson, Sexual Harassment Complaint Committee.
