Two students of Department of Bangla at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) have been expelled for two years on charges of indiscipline. Nine other students of some department have also been punished in different sections. The decision was made in the 228th Syndicate meeting of the university on Monday (June 19). Gulshan Ahmed, a student of the 2018-19 academic year of Bangla depart, was expelled on the charge of indiscipline in the campus, and Salma Akhter Beethi of the same year of the same department was permanently expelled for the same period for cheating in the examination.
Apart from this, five students of 2020-21 session (post graduation) of economics department, one student of 2020-21 session (first year), one student of genetics engineering and biotechnology department, and one student of chemistry department have been punished in different sections.
