Two killed, six injured in Sirajganj road crash

Two people were killed and 6 injured in a face-to-face clash between buses and Nachimans at Salanga in Ullapara of Sirajganj.

The accident took place on the eastern side of Dabirganj Bazar of Salanga police station on the Dhaka-Banpara highway on Sunday around 6 pm.

Thandu (43) son of Serukha of Chaikhola village of Chatmohar upazila of Pabna district and Chamad (40) son of Ataur Mandal were killed. The injured have not been identified yet.

Eyewitnesses said that the National Travels leaving from Rajshahi reached Dabirganj area and Asha Nachiman hit the car from reverse. Two were killed on the spot. 6 injured people were rescued and sent to different local hospitals. It is known that the deceased are cattle dealers. They were going to Natore after buying cows from Boaliya market and loading them at Nasimon.

Badrul Kabir, officer in charge of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station, said that after receiving information about the accident, the injured were rescued and sent to the hospital and 2 people were killed on the spot.
