Two persons were killed and one injured when a passenger bus hit them at Dharmatala Rail Crossing on Jashore-Dhaka Highway. The accident happened on Thursday afternoon.
According to police, a Dhaka-bound passenger bus crushed a Cyclevan stuck at a railway crossing, killing two women, Jahanara and Sumaiya, on the spot. They were going to a wedding in that van. Their home is in Sirajsingha village of Jashore Sadar upazila. The injured van driver is undergoing treatment at the 250-bed Jashore General Hospital.
