Two people were killed and three others were injured in a road accident as an easy bike collided head on with a motorcycle on Marine Drive road at Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Kiron Chakma, 40, son of Lataiong Chakma, resident of Horinkhola village of Teknaf and M Jahid, 21, son of Majharul Islam, resident of Demra in Dhaka.
In-charge of Baharchhara Police Investigation Center M Chhami Uddin said the accident took place on the Marine Drive road in Jahajpura area under Baharchhara union of the Upazila at 1:00pm.
He also said an easy bike and motorcycle collided head on in the area, leaving five people injured critically. Kiron died when he was being taken to hospital.
Another victim, M Jahid, was declared dead when he was taken to Cox’s Bazar Zila Sadar Hospital.
