Bodies of two female madrasa students were recovered from a land near to a mosque Sadekpur Uttarpara in Brahmanbaria on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Naima, 14, daughter of Billal Mia, resident of Kalishima village and Maimuna, 14, daughter of Abdul Barek, resident of Sadekpur village. They are students of Hifz section Jamia Solaimania Kashemia Ulum Madrasa at Poyag village in Sadar Upazila of the district.
Relatives of the deceased said the duo came out of their houses to go to the madrasa on Friday afternoon. Later on Saturday, they received phone call from the madrasa and came to know that they are not in the madrasa.
When they asked the madrasa teacher about the students, it was said that they went missing from the madrasa in the night after they were rebuffed for naughtiness.
Locals found bodies of the students from a land near to a mosque Sadekpur Uttarpara on Tuesday morning, four days after they went missing.
Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mozaffar Hossain said bodies of the female students were recovered and sent to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Information is being collected in this connection. However, the teachers of the madrasa fled after locking the madrasa. Legal procedure will be taken after the autopsy.
